The Challenge

• Managers were manually cross-referencing purchasing, inventory, subcontracting, and quality records across disconnected ERP modules.
• No single view existed to assess production readiness across a job or project.
• Reviewing job status ahead of production meetings consumed significant manager time.
• Standard ERP screens didn’t reflect the business’s own special procedures and exception handling.

The Solution: A Unified, API-Driven Dashboard

We architected a data integration layer over the ERP’s relational database via API, consolidating — per project and job:

• 💳 Customer payment status
• 📦 Purchase-order approval and receiving pipelines
• 🧮 Material readiness classification (on-hand, shortage, and out-of-sync plans driven by live MRP data)
• 🚚 Subcontractor order and shipment tracking
• 🛠️ CNC work-order status with direct access to engineering drawings
• 🔍 Material traceability down to consumed lots and mill test certificates

The dashboard favors proactive monitoring — surfacing bottlenecks and exceptions before they impact production, instead of requiring managers to hunt across systems for them. It’s also built to adapt to special procedures — non-standard routings and business-specific rules — rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all workflow.

We extended the platform with an embedded, context-aware AI assistant that lets production staff query live job data in natural language.
